A six-inch diameter steel pipe is filled with concrete and topped with a painted concrete cap, standing four feet above the finished paving level. The post extends downward into a concrete-filled post hole measuring one foot four inches wide and three feet deep, with a three-inch clearance beneath the embedded base. The entire assembly passes through adjacent asphalt paving.
