The coping splice features two lines of sealant on each side of the joint and a slight hug brake at both edges of the metal. A high temperature resistant self-adhering membrane or roof membrane underlies the metal coping sections. A gasketed fastener is installed between the coping sections. The detail is restricted for use only parallel to the slope.
