A W24 beam connects to a structural frame column using a bolted double-row shear or moment connection detailed on another sheet. Three-eighths-inch stiffener plates are welded to each side of the beam web with one-quarter-inch welds. Flange plate thickness and width match the beam, secured with staggered interior welds and one-quarter-inch fillet welds. Additional one-quarter-inch fillet welds attach the plates as indicated by the callouts.
