An aluminum window system attaches below an interior partition framing assembly, which consists of metal studs sized per structural requirements and gypsum board finish. Shims are placed as required between the partition track and the aluminum window head member. Backer rod and sealant are installed on both sides of the joint between the partition and the window frame. The window system receives one-quarter-inch glazing, with the glass type coordinated per the window schedule.
