A structural steel bent plate guard protects exterior downspouts mounted against a painted concrete tilt wall. The three-eighths-inch thick by four-foot high steel guard is coated with two coats of gloss enamel matching the building color and positioned with its bottom edge two inches above the downspout opening. Each side attaches to the concrete wall using three half-inch diameter wedge anchors spaced at twenty inches on center with a maximum of four inches from the top and bottom. The contractor must verify the downspout size prior to fabricating the steel guards.
