A square structural column is wrapped with one-inch foam expansion material and enclosed within a round isolation ring wrapped with quarter-inch foam expansion. Two number four reinforcing bars, three feet long, are installed in the upper third of the surrounding slab. A plunge cut is coordinated per sheet thirteen detail DC one.
