A non-rated acoustical partition terminates adjacent to a shaft bottom with layers of gypsum board on framing and sound insulation in the cavity. An acoustic sealant bead is applied at the partition junction to maintain sound attenuation. Alignment dimensions are indicated between the partition face and the adjacent shaft construction.
