An insulated freezer or cooler door connects to a prefinished metal clad high-density polyethylene frame set into an insulated metal panel wall. The perimeter of the frame is sealed with foam-in-place insulation and a full perimeter sealant bead applied to both sides. A heated gasket seal operates at 28 degrees Fahrenheit and below along the contact surface between the door leaf and the frame. The wall assembly separates warmer and colder thermal zones.
