A stair barrier gate assembly occurs at a landing enclosure. Vertical guardrail posts connect adjacent to stair stringers alongside a three-eighths-inch thick bent closure plate. A square tubing vertical serves as the hinge attachment and is fitted with adjustable heavy-duty spring hinges. Additional attachment plates are coped to the vertical tube to facilitate hardware connection. A vertical gate post receives the swinging gate leaf, maintaining specific clearance dimensions relative to the interior face of the stair enclosure.
