This partition wall intersection meets a tilt-up concrete wall with a continuous air barrier provided by sealed sheet metal or a flexible flashing and air membrane. The partition consists of metal studs with thermal insulation and two layers of 5/8-inch gypsum board on each side. A vapor barrier is applied to the data hall side of the wall and is continued along the face of the tilt-up concrete wall. Sealant is applied at the junction between the partition and the concrete. An alternate construction method allows the gypsum board to continue through the wall intersection, similar to a rated assembly intersection.
