Steel guardrails and handrails are anchored into concrete landings using two-inch diameter by twelve-inch long steel pipe sleeves cast into the concrete. Vertical steel pipes are spaced at six feet zero inches on center maximum, with number four by twenty-four inch reinforcing bars placed at each side of the post. Horizontal rails consist of one-and-a-half-inch primed and painted steel pipes spaced at five-and-a-half-inch intervals. All welds are ground smooth and finished per specifications.
