A steel pipe with a maximum diameter of twelve inches penetrates a partition with an annular space ranging from zero to one and seven-eighths inches. A five-eighths-inch minimum thick firestopping sealant is applied within the annulus. The assembly includes two-inch thick heavy density glass fiber pipe insulation with a one-half-inch minimum sealant bead at the point of contact. The installation complies with UL listing W-L-5029.
