A dimensional lumber spacer matches the thickness of the wall wainscot to properly align the mirror. The mirror is mounted with a typical one-half-inch offset clearance at the edges. Edges are caulked and the wood is painted to match the surrounding wall finish. The mirror is dashed for clarity over the wainscot surface.
