This architectural detail shows a double metal stud wall assembly running adjacent to a concrete structure. The framing consists of three and five-eighths inch by twenty gauge metal studs spaced at sixteen inches on center, set within top and bottom runners fastened at twenty-four inches on center with sealant at the base. Cavity insulation is provided by R-thirteen batt insulation. Both sides of the framing are finished with five-eighths inch Type X gypsum board, and wall finishes are applied per schedule above the floor finish. The finish, gypsum board, and stud are extended above the ceiling level unless noted otherwise.
