A typical channel stringer bears on a concrete slab and connects via an L4x4x1/4 angle, eight inches long, welded with a three-sixteenths fillet weld on three sides. A one-quarter-inch thick closure plate finishes the connection end. The assembly is anchored to the concrete slab using two three-quarter-inch diameter Hilti HDI expansion anchors, five inches long, spaced at five inches on center. Steel grating treads and landings are provided per manufacturer specifications.
