A thirty-eight millimeter diameter steel pipe handrail mounts to wall supports spaced at a maximum of one thousand two hundred millimeters on center. The handrail terminates with a ninety-degree return to the wall complete with a rounded end cap. Solid blocking is provided within the wall construction at each support location as required. The top of the handrail is positioned between two feet ten inches and three feet two inches above the stair nosing, complying with building code requirements.
