Cables penetrate a gypsum board over metal studs partition with a maximum three-inch diameter opening. Metal stud framing surrounds the opening and receives corner beads on both sides. Firestop sealant seals the annular space on both sides of the wall assembly. The penetration construction complies with UL system number W-L-3071 and all Underwriters Laboratories requirements.
