This assembly features a recessed track for coiled wire fabric mounted within a soffit constructed of five-eighths inch gypsum board on light gauge metal framing. Plywood blocking is secured between the metal studs to provide a structural base for the track attachment. The track is fastened through the blocking with a bolt and nut assembly, creating a three-inch deep recess from the bottom of the soffit. The gypsum board terminates at the track edge, with the bottom of the soffit referenced to the reflected ceiling plan.
