Cold-formed steel stud framing terminates at a typical slip track sized per requirements and secured with screws. A continuous plate of specified size and gauge spans two ribs of the metal deck overhead. Screws fasten the plate to the metal deck on each side of the stud, and additional screws connect the framing to the metal plate at each stud location. Metal deck installation is provided by others.
