An exhaust duct is centered within a two-foot by two-foot shaftwall enclosure framed with six-inch metal J runners and studs. One-inch shaftwall gypsum board liner panels line the interior chase framing around the duct. The exterior faces are finished with five-eighths-inch Type X gypsum board panels.
