A one-half inch plate is threaded horizontally through the hollow structural section column to support the framing hollow structural section beam. A three-sixteenths inch fillet weld secures the connection top and bottom with a minimum length of three inches. Additional detailing indicates a four-inch dimension associated with the connection geometry typical top and bottom.
