A one-and-one-quarter-inch outside diameter steel tube handrail is supported by a flat bar handrail standoff and flat bar handrail extension, secured through the wall finish to wood blocking within the wall assembly. The handrail maintains a minimum one-and-one-half-inch clearance from the wall surface and sits at a typical height of thirty-six inches above the stair. Below, a concrete-filled tread pan rests at the stair junction with a riser visible beyond the wall finish.
