A six-inch outside diameter galvanized and painted steel pipe stands three feet six inches above the finished floor, filled completely with concrete. The pipe welds to a half-inch by nine-inch square hot-dip galvanized embed plate resting flush with the top of the concrete deck. Two half-inch diameter A36 anchor rods and two number five reinforcing bars at six feet zero inches each way reinforce the concrete slab below. A three-sixteenths inch fillet weld secures the pipe to the embed plate.
