The assembly consists of a three-inch pre-finished insulated metal panel capped by a sixteen-gauge top track. A painted deflection track is fastened to the deck above using two number eighty Tek screws spaced at twelve inches on center. Compressible insulation is installed within the deflection track to accommodate vertical movement. A continuous butyl sealant bead is applied between the top track and the metal panel to ensure a weather-tight seal, with a fifteen-eighths inch overlap provided for the deflection track legs.
