An exterior door head assembly features a grout-filled hollow metal frame set within a CMU masonry wall partition. Continuous sealant and backer rod are applied at both the exterior and interior joints between the frame and the wall. The masonry wall includes a structural header and exterior elastomeric paint finish. An interior furring partition with insulation abuts the assembly per plans, alongside a scheduled door.
