A metal stud partition head connects to a rated concrete and metal deck floor slab using a top track anchored by a minimum one-eighth inch powder-actuated fastener at twenty-four inches on center with a one-and-one-quarter inch minimum embedment. Metal clip angles and metal 'U' channel lateral bracing are spaced at a maximum of four feet on center for the full height of the partition to meet limiting height requirements. Web stiffeners are added as required. Additional layers of gypsum wallboard and sound attenuation fire blanket are included per partition type.
