An insulated steel sectional overhead door tracks alongside a structural exterior wall with continuous weather sealing. A three-eighths-inch bent plate jamb guard extends to four feet above the finish floor and is secured to the wall using one-half-inch diameter wedge anchors spaced at twenty-four inches on center. The jamb guard is finished by the steel fabricator with two coats of safety yellow gloss enamel paint. A heavy-duty three-inch steel track supports the door mechanism, positioned adjacent to a dead bolt latch located six inches above the top of the jamb guard.
