A concrete walk with a thickened edge is cast on compacted soil over natural grade with a finish grade set one inch at sod and one and one-half inches at ground cover. The outside edge of the walk features a tooled one-half inch radius edge and an eight-inch thickened section with a variable depth of two times 'x' minimum per civil plans. Expansion joints or control joints are spaced at twelve feet each way. Below slab preparation is completed in accordance with the soils report.
