A typical cold-formed metal stud connects to a bottom track, with size and gauge as required by design. An end clip attaches the stud web to the track flange using welds or mechanical fasteners sized as required. The bottom track fastens to the concrete substrate using powder-actuated fasteners spaced at 16 inches on center.
