Vertical hanger wires and splayed seismic bracing wires anchor to concrete-filled metal deck and structural steel beams using power-actuated fasteners and steel angle clips. Splayed seismic bracing wires utilize three minimum 0.145-inch diameter power-actuated fasteners per connection, tested for four hundred forty pounds. Vertical hanger wires suspend from structural steel beams or metal clips with a maximum half-inch offset and require testing for two hundred pounds. Power-actuated fasteners must remain undriven until the concrete reaches its full compressive strength. Bare metal deck connections require coordination with detail twenty on sheet A9.21.
