This assembly features a vent pipe penetrating a single-ply membrane roof system with a metal hood and flashing. The single-ply membrane is turned up a minimum of one inch against the metal hood base. A metal flashing and clamp assembly is sealed to the pipe at the top of the hood, with sealant applied typically. The roof deck consists of steel roof deck topped with rigid roof insulation and wood nailers matching the insulation thickness. The void around the pipe is filled with foil-faced mineral wool insulation, and flashing foam is installed at the ends of the void above the bottom flange adjacent to the warm pipe. A water-resistive barrier is provided beneath the wood nailers.
