A closed cabinet edge assembly incorporates a wood veneer substrate designated as WD2 unless noted otherwise. The cabinet surround features a one-and-a-half-inch face profile at the top edge, supported by an internal wood framing member. Below, the vertical panel consists of a wood veneer substrate designated as WD1 unless noted otherwise. A half-inch dimension establishes the relationship between the face of the door or drawer and the face of the cabinet surround beyond.
