The detail illustrates the head intersection where an aluminum window or door frame meets a concrete tilt-up wall panel. The assembly incorporates shims, backer rod, and exterior and interior sealant joints to weather-seal the opening. A minimum 3/8-inch joint clearance is specified between the frame and the concrete.
