A hot roof stack penetration passes through a metal, metal with gypsum, or concrete roof deck. The assembly features a metal sleeve surrounded by the roofing system and insulation, with an eight and one-half inch high-temperature sealant joint. Uncured flashing is installed to the metal sleeve and sealed to the vapor retarder at the penetration. A storm collar with a stainless steel clamping ring fits over the sleeve to shed water. The gap between the deck and penetration is packed with mineral wool batt insulation.
