A hose bib penetrates an exterior framed wall assembly wrapped with a fluid-applied weather-resistive barrier and a Tyvek Commercial Wrap D separator sheet. Self-adhered Perm-A-Barrier Ultra flashing is applied directly to the sheathing and stripped in at the tops and sides of the metal collar flashing. A two-piece collar flashing fits tightly around the pipe penetration and is sealed with joint sealant backed by a three-eighths-inch backer rod.
