A perimeter furring assembly constructed with three-and-five-eighths-inch metal studs extends six inches above the ceiling line. The framing is filled with R-13 batt insulation and faced with an FSK-25 vapor barrier on the warm side. The interior finish consists of five-eighths-inch gypsum board, specified as water-resistant at wet walls and carried up to six inches above the ceiling. The assembly abuts a fully conditioned exterior wall.
