A pipe, duct, or conduit penetrates a fire-rated insulated wall assembly with specified firestopping materials at the annular space. The gypsum board wall framing contains insulation and is finished with layers of gypsum board on each side. Firestopping sealant and packing are installed around the perimeter of the penetrating service to maintain the fire rating per specification 07270. Fire ratings for the wall assembly are determined per floor plans, complying with UL 263 requirements.
