The assembly consists of an eight-inch concrete masonry unit wall with concrete-filled cores and an exterior elastomeric coating. The top course of the masonry is specified as smooth-faced to provide a level bearing surface for the fire-retardant treated wood blocking. This blocking is secured to the masonry with one-half-inch diameter anchor bolts spaced at forty-eight inches on center, which are countersunk into the wood. A prefinished sheet metal coping cap is installed over the blocking using clips and fasteners, with continuous sealant applied at the joints. The roofing membrane extends up the interior face of the parapet and is terminated at a surface-mounted reglet with counterflashing.
