A vertical steel pipe support penetrates an insulated steel roof deck detailed with a supporting steel angle welded to the structural framing. The pipe is wrapped with a single-ply flashing membrane extending to a minimum 8-inch height above the new roof level, secured at the top with a 24-gauge stainless steel clamp and approved sealant. Four seam plates and fasteners secure the membrane per pipe, utilizing hot-air welds at seams and expansive foam sealant to fill any gaps of 1/16-inch or greater around the penetration.
