An aluminum transom sill and jamb assembly frames the upper glazing where specified, incorporating a stop and weatherstrip. Below the transom, an aluminum entry door operates against a weather seal at the head and sill. A one-half-inch high aluminum threshold is set in mastic with a maximum one-in-two bevel of one-quarter inch minimum height, bearing adjacent to one-half-inch expansion joint material and the interior concrete slab. The exterior concrete walk slopes away from the entrance at a maximum two percent slope with a typical slope of one-quarter inch per twelve inches.
