The stair stringer connects to a structural beam at the landing with a top attachment plate and three-sided three-sixteenths inch fillet welds. A checkered plate nosing is attached to the grating along the nosing line. A cap stringer with a three-eighths inch plate aligns with the top of the grating. A guard top post ties into the assembly two inches off center.
