A steel vertical brace sized per structural requirements is framed within a six-inch metal stud wall assembly. The structural steel member is fully wrapped in five-eighths-inch gypsum board, with an exterior layer of five-eighths-inch gypsum board extending across the wall face. A plenum-rated vapor barrier is applied over the assembly. The adjacent wall framing consists of six-inch metal studs terminating at the projection.
