A ceiling bracing wire attaches to a steel wide flange beam bottom flange using a 12 gauge steel ceiling clip measuring 2 inches by 2 inches by 2 inches wide minimum. The clip is secured to the underside of the beam flange with three power-actuated fasteners having a minimum diameter of 0.145 inches. Fire proofing surrounds the steel wide flange beam. The bracing wire connects to the ceiling clip with a maximum half-inch offset.
