A three-quarter-inch steel support bracket is welded to a mounting plate and connected to the underside of the handrail at three feet above finished floor, with all exposed welds ground smooth and polished. The mounting plate fastens through the wall finish into a metal blocking assembly that is welded to the vertical steel studs.
