A boiler stack penetrates a roof assembly supported by a one-foot-two-inch prefabricated roof curb over rigid insulation, a cover board, and a vapor barrier. The roof membrane flashes up and over the curb, while the cavity around the pipe is filled with batt insulation. A metal cap flashing and sealant run across the top of the curb, joined by a high-temperature sealant and a four-inch storm collar around the stack. Non-combustible metal stud nailers provide backing at the top of the curb.
