A hollow structural section measuring 6x6x1/4 connects to a concrete wall through a half-inch thick embedded plate fitted with four three-quarter-inch diameter welded studs. The connection assembly is welded using a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld. Vertical spacing of the embed plates is detailed with a one-foot zero-inch offset from the finish surface, followed by two-foot zero-inch intervals.
