A non-rated metal stud partition terminates against the face of an existing concrete wall, incorporating R-15 batt insulation within the stud cavity. The partition sub-structure features a metal stud joist secured to the concrete wall using powder-actuated Hilti X-U fasteners spaced at 16 inches on center with a 1 1/4 inch minimum embedment. Number 10 sheet metal screws fasten each stud flange. A suspended lay-in ceiling abuts the partition assembly as indicated on the reflected ceiling plan.
