This interior partition detail shows a wall intersection constructed with cold-formed metal stud framing and faced with two layers of five-eighths-inch gypsum board on one side and a single layer of five-eighths-inch gypsum board on the other. Joint tape is applied at the gypsum board transitions and corners per specifications. Three-inch acoustic batt insulation is installed within the stud cavity for sound attenuation.
