A twelve-gauge by one-inch wide minimum ceiling clip is anchored directly to the underside of a lightweight or normal weight concrete slab. The clip is secured within the concrete flute using a bolt aligned with the centerline of the flute. A hanger wire extends downward from the clip, terminating with a maximum half-inch clearance at the lower loop.
