An A-36 galvanized steel fence is constructed with 4 inches by 4 inches by 11 gauge square tubular steel posts spaced at 8 feet on center, topped with a welded cap. Horizontal rails consist of 2 inches wide by 2 inches high by 14 gauge tubular steel channels. Vertical pickets are 1 inch square 16 gauge tubular steel spaced at 6 inches on center, welded to the outside of the fence. Posts extend into a concrete footing sized as required, anchored over a compacted subgrade. A 6 inches by 6 inches cast-in-place concrete mow curb is required when the fence is adjacent to turf areas.
